“Everybody has problems,” Neela says. “I want to help solve whatever challenges they’re facing.” She adds, “While I’ve done whatever I can to help out people in my district, I never feel that I’ve done enough.”

Neela, 48, has a no-frills no-fuss approach to solutions: “I keep at it until it’s done. I see myself as determined, other people might say I'm just stubborn.“

Growing up as the daughter of a respected pundit and managing her own small business in the

Curepe community, she has always been there for people facing tough times. Now, she aspires to become your councillor.

Neela embodies the values expressed in our National Anthem: the belief that every creed and race must find an equal place. As your councillor, she envisions uniting people from all walks of life, bringing us closer. Having spent her entire life in this district, Neela knows its pulse, its residents, and its pressing needs. If elected, she intends to build upon her strong roots in the community.
